Volaris 101 Attendees Get Comprehensive Look at Best Practices
Three days of intensive learning sessions come to Copenhagen
Companies that join the Volaris family gain access to a rich set of resources to help them improve and maintain their businesses, including events like Volaris 101, which is a multi-day, in-depth look at how the company operates.
With a thorough set of safety protocols in place, Volaris convened business and functional leaders in Copenhagen between October 24-26, 2021 to learn from information sessions, participate in workshops, and network with talented peers who run top-performing vertical market software companies across Europe.
“At Volaris 101 and all our other events, we encourage knowledge-sharing on a multi-regional level, with peers working together on business challenges and best practices,” said Sherry McMenemy, VP of Corporate Knowledge at Volaris Group. “This is a great opportunity for member companies to network.”
Volaris is an active acquirer across Europe, and attendees came from Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.
About Volaris 101
The event is an essential introduction to how Volaris Group helps businesses. Attendees heard directly from key people at the company, including CEO Mark Miller, Chief Talent Officer Grace Annab, and Portfolio Leaders Jesper Ulsted and Rick Bacchus.
Volaris CEO Mark Miller spoke about the history of the company and his roots as a software developer. He shared strategies to help businesses improve results.
Portfolio Leader Jesper Ulsted discussed his successful history of M&A across Europe.
Participants engaged in a workshop led by Chief Talent Officer Grace Annab about applying talent management approaches to help employees’ careers flourish within Volaris.
The sessions wrapped up with a case study exercise that summarized all the lessons discussed during the week.
Volaris 101 encourages cross-functional collaboration, and attendees were able to network with peers from every area of the business—including executive leadership, customer care, M&A, finance, legal, professional services, R&D, sales and marketing, and HR.
Leaders gain new knowledge and contacts
Attendees left the event in Copenhagen with many new ideas to bring back to their businesses.
“Volaris 101 gave us tools and methods to help us develop our company for the future,” said Raimund Schlotmann, General Manager of Saatmann, a Volaris-owned company.
“This was a concentrated way to get the information while networking with like-minded peers.”
